Personalized Wedding Favors with Live Engraving at The Edinburgh West | Ciara & Charles

There’s something extra special about a wedding favor that guests don’t just take home but get to experience being made just for them. That’s exactly what made Ciara and Charles’ wedding at The Edinburgh West in Greenville, South Carolina such a joy to be part of. I had the honor of joining their wedding day as a live engraver, adding personalized touches to custom glassware for each of their guests.

Custom Engraved Wedding Favors, Made On-Site

For their favors, Ciara and Charles chose to gift each guest a stemless wine glass or bourbon tumbler, depending on their drink of choice. Each glass was pre-etched with their wedding logo on one side, alaready a beautiful keepsake on its own. But on the other side?

Throughout the evening, I hand engraved each guest’s name live, right there on the spot. It was a beautiful way to add a personal, interactive touch to the celebration. Guests could come over during cocktail hour or throughout the reception, watch their glass being customized in real-time, and leave with something they’d actually use and remember.

A Stormy Twist

Now, no wedding day goes completely according to plan and Ciara and Charles’ big day came with a little curveball. Just as cocktail hour was getting underway, a sudden pop-up storm swept through the property. Tables, umbrellas, signage... all of us had to make a quick exit or grab what we could to cover and protect it from the rain.

My live engraving station was set up outdoors, so I had to get creative. After a very soggy cleanup and a little regrouping, I was able to reset everything once the skies cleared. Guests came back ready to mingle, glasses in hand, and we picked up right where we left off.

Why Live Engraving Is the Ultimate Guest Experience

Live engraving isn't just about the favor itself, it's about the experience. Here’s why couples like Ciara and Charles love including on-site engraving at their weddings:

  • It’s Personal: Guests walk away with something that’s made just for them, in real-time.

  • It’s Interactive: People love watching the engraving process and chatting while it happens.

  • It’s Memorable: Long after the cake is gone, guests still have their personalized favor on their bar cart or shelf.

  • It Makes Your Wedding Stand Out: It’s an elevated touch that makes your day feel even more special and guest-focused.

Each glass was prepped with their custom wedding monogram, giving it that signature look. I added each guest’s name in my signature hand engraving style, making every glass one-of-a-kind. It was fun watching people compare designs, take videos, and toast with their personalized tumblers. One guest even told me it was the coolest favor they’d ever received at a wedding and I couldn’t agree more.

Thinking About Live Engraving for Your Wedding?

Whether your wedding is big or small, live engraving adds something truly memorable to your day. I bring all the tools, setup, and professional engraving equipment with me and work with you to design a favor that fits your style, be it glasses, bottles, or something totally different.

If you’re planning a wedding at Edinburgh West or any venue across South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia, I’d love to help bring this experience to your day.

Because the best favors are the ones guests don’t leave behind and can’t stop talking about.
